Cocktail of the week: Tomato Tomatoe (Lydia Reissmueller, PDT)
Garnish: Mint sprig picked to a cherry tomato as if it was part of the vine
Method: Muddle the tomatoes, then add the rest of the ingredients. Shake with ice and fine strain into a chilled coupe.
2oz Siete Leguas Blanco Tequila
½oz Green Chartreuse
¼oz Martinique Sugar Cane Syrup
3 cherry tomatoes
Comment: However you pronounce or spell the juicy red fruit that bursts with flavor come high summer, tomatoes have an affinity for Tequila, which PDT alum Lydia Reissmueller demonstrates admirably in her savory sour spiced with Chartreuse.
