GSN Review: Bengerminz Vodka

Oregon is a hotbed of cocktail bars, so it’s only natural that distilleries have followed suit.  Bengerminz is one of the newer products to come from the Pacific Northwest.  Their vodka is distilled six times and is made from 100% American grain.

Bengerminz Vodka (80 proof)
Visual: Crystal clear.
Nose: Sweet with loads of minerals, slight citrus quality.
Taste: Quite sweet with a chalky mouthfeel.  Notes of powdered sugar, slight bitterness and white pepper.
Finish: Quite dry and again with the chalkiness.
Overall: As a mixer, this will work well, but on it’s own in a vodka martini, it has too much sweetness.  Try it in a Lemondrop or Cape Codder where it will work well with fruit.
GSN Rating:  B
