Imbibing Mr. Boston: B and B Cocktail

IMG_0997-800The B and B was supposedly created in 1937 in New York City at Club Twenty One (now the 21 Club).  But researching their own website doesn’t even bring up any reference to it’s creation.  Perhaps one of the bartenders had a call for Benedictine, realized the bottle was almost empty and decided to add some brandy to make up the difference.

In any case, The B and B has to be one of the world’s most famous pre-mixed cocktails.  You can buy B&B by the bottle, but I prefer to use Benedictine and play around with different Cognacs.  Overall, this makes for a nice digestif after a meal, especially if the food is French.

0.5oz brandy
0.5oz benedictine

Combine ingredients in cordial glass.
