Newport, Oregon-based Rogue Ales is rolling out Cold Brew IPA, a blend of Stumptown Coffee Roasters’ Cold Brew Coffee and India Pale Ale. The brewer used hops like Freedom and Simcoe from its Oregon-based Rogue Farm to create the new offering, which will be available beginning in April on draft and in 22-ounce bottles nationwide.
Chapel Hill-based Carolina Brewery is releasing a new year-round beer, Pamlico Pale Ale. The 5.2%-abv offering is brewed with Ahtanum, Galena and Cascade hops. It will be available in 16-ounce cans and on draft in North Carolina, Tennessee and South Carolina beginning this month. Carolina Brewery’s other core beers include Sky Blue Golden Ale, Flagship IPA, Genuine Oatmeal Porter and Copperline Amber Ale.
Bend, Oregon’s Worthy Brewing Company is adding Peace Pipe Porter to its seasonal lineup. Brewed with cacao nibs, the 5.4%-abv brew is available in six-packs of bottles and kegs through Columbia Distribution in Oregon and Washington and Hayden Beverage in Idaho. Worthy Brewing’s flagship portfolio includes Worthy IPA, Prefunk Pale Ale, Easy Day Kolsch, Lights Out Stout and Eruption Imperial Red Ale, in addition to specialty and seasonal releases.
North American Breweries is adding a new year-round brew, Low Key Session IPA, to the Magic Hat portfolio. A 4.5% abv session beer billed as an “easy-drinking IPA,” Low Key is made with El Dorado, CTZ and Chinook hops. It’s debuting on draft, in six-packs of both bottles and cans, and in 16-ounce cans.
California’s Coronado Brewing Company is rolling out two of its core offerings—and one new release—in canned format for the first time. Beginning this month, Coronado’s Islander IPA (7.0% abv) and Orange Avenue Wit (5.2% abv) will be available in 12-ounce cans, as will Easy Up Pale Ale, the new year-round 5.2%-abv brew that will also be available on draft. The cans will feature the company’s redesigned logo and new branding highlighting a coastal lifestyle that will continue to be seen on later limited releases, its Brewer’s Series beers and eventually core bottled offerings.
Juneau’s Alaskan Brewing Company is rolling out its newest year-round beer, Kicker Session IPA. The 4.5%-abv brew is dry-hopped with Amarillo, Centennial, Citra, Simcoe and Mosaic hops. It’s the first year-round release from Alaskan Brewing since 2013. Kicker Session IPA is available in six-packs throughout the company’s 17-state distribution footprint. Alaskan’s other year-round offerings include Amber, White, Freeride IPA, Ice Bay IPA and Hopothermia, among others.
