Southern California’s Ballast Point is introducing a new version of its limited brew Calm Before The Storm. Rolling out in 12-ounce-bottle six-packs and on draft across the U.S. market, the new incarnation of Calm Before The Storm (5.5%-abv) is a lighter-bodied golden cream ale infused with cold brewed Caffé Calabria coffee and a hint of vanilla.
Missouri-based Schlafly Beer is launching a new Summer Patio Pack, a 12-pack sampler retailing at about $15. The sampler pack includes Schlafly’s latest year-round brew, Grapefruit IPA, as well as Summer Lager, Raspberry Hefeweizen and Yakima Wheat Ale.
California’s Napa Smith Brewery is entering the New York market this month. Napa Smith is entering Westchester and Putnam counties, where its Golden Gate IPA, Hopageddon Imperial IPA, Amber Ale and Pilsner labels will be distributed by D. Bertoline & Sons.
Michigan-based Founders Brewing is debuting Sumatra Mountain Brown, an imperial brown ale, as its latest specialty brew. Launching across Founders’ 37-state footprint on May 2, Sumatra Brown Ale is a 9% abv offering that will be distributed in four-packs of 12-ounce bottles retailing at $11.99.
