Baltimore’s Heavy Seas Beer is debuting a new seasonal brew, an Oktoberfest-style lager called TreasureFest. Billed as an American twist on the classic German style, TreasureFest is brewed with German malt and hops and dry-hopped with American hops. TreasureFest Oktoberfest lager is launching next month across Heavy Seas’ 17-state footprint. Heavy Seas’ year-round range includes Pounder Pils, Powder Monkey Pale Ale, CrossBones Session IPA, Loose Cannon IPA, Double Cannon Double IPA and Peg Leg Imperial Stout.
Stone Brewing has unveiled two new summer seasonals, which are launching in select markets nationally. The first, Stone Citrusy Wit is a 5.3% abv witbier brewed with tangerine and kaffir lime leaf. The second, Stone Mocha IPA, is a 9% abv double IPA brewed with cocoa, milk sugar and coffee. Both Mocha IPA and Citrusy Wit are rolling out now in 12-ounce bottle six-packs and on draft.
Cooperstown, New York’s Brewery Ommegang is introducing Great Beyond Double IPA nationwide this month. The launch builds on last year’s release of Nirvana IPA, which the company says ranks as the number-three New York IPA in IRI channels for the state. Great Beyond (8.8% abv) is brewed with pilsner and Munich 20 malts, and Columbus, Cascade, Centennial, Mosaic, Calypso and Mandarina Bavaria hops, with the addition of flaked oats and dextrose. It’s available in June throughout Ommegang’s distribution network in 12-ounce six-packs and on draft.
