Hine Cognac is releasing Domaines Hine Bonneuil 2010 in the U.S. The expression is the fourth in the company’s collection of single vintage, single estate Cognacs. It was sourced exclusively from Ugni Blanc grapes grown in the vineyard of Hine’s private estate in Grande Champagne and only 18 casks yielding 8,100 bottles were selected for bottling. It is available now in select retailers and on ReserveBar, retailing for $140 a 750-ml. Hine Cognac is imported to the U.S. by San Francisco-based Hotaling & Co.
Ireland’s Boann Distillery has debuted a new single malt series within its The Whistler Irish whiskey brand. The new line has launched with the P.X. I Love You and Bodega Cask single malt whiskies, both of which are bottled at 46% abv. The former is distilled using 100% malted Irish barley and is first aged in ex-Bourbon casks before a final maturation in ex-Pedro Ximénez casks for at least nine months. The latter, meanwhile, is a triple-distilled whiskey that’s finished in Spanish Sherry butts. The new whiskies, each retail priced at $45 a 750-ml., are imported by Prestige Beverage Group and exclusive to the U.S. market.
Tampa, Florida’s 82° West Distilling has introduced Cabana Boy, a naturally infused, pineapple-flavored rum, as well as three limited-edition holiday gift bundles. The new expression is bottled at 70 proof and retail priced at $32 a 750-ml. The gift bundles include the Brunch Bundle ($67), featuring Vanilla Voyage, Bombshell, and Joffrey’s Special rums; the Tropical Bundle ($74), offering the Coconut Breeze, Cabana Boy, and Paradise rums; and the Build-Your-Own Bundle ($75), wherein customers can choose any three flavors.
Virginia-based Phenomenal Spirits is releasing RY3 Whiskey, a tripart blend. The spirit is made from three whiskies with different mashbills and age statements finished together in vintage rum casks. It is at 50% abv and is available now in Maryland, Delaware, Mississippi, Alabama, and Washington, D.C. and retails for $55 a 750-ml. The company plans to expand to Connecticut, Tennessee, Rhode Island, and Massachusetts early next year. This month the distillery also premiered a private release whiskey program.
Mijenta Tequila has released a reposado expression. Aged six months in a blend of American white oak, French oak, and French acacia casks, Mijenta Reposado joins a blanco Tequila in the label’s lineup. Only 6,500 bottles of the Reposado are available in the first production run, retail priced at $65 a 750-ml. Mijento was launched earlier this year by former Bacardi CEO Mike Dolan.
Diageo has launched Cascade Moon Edition No.-2, the second limited edition whiskey celebrating the legacy of George Dickel and the Cascade Hollow Distilling Company. The 45% abv whiskey is bottled with a label paying tribute to the distillery’s 150-year history, which was hand-printed on a press that’s over a century old. Cascade Moon Edition No.-2 is rolling out now to retailers in Texas, California, and Tennessee, and will retail for around $250 a 750-ml.
