Eugene, Oregon’s Wolf Spirit has announced The D12tance, the latest Bourbon from the Puncher’s Chance brand. The 12-year-old whiskey is sourced from IJW Whiskey Company and bottled at 47% abv after being finished in wine barrels. Only 70 barrels of Tennessee-made Bourbon were used for this release, with 2,000 cases available in California, Florida, Kentucky, Colorado, Oklahoma, New Mexico, New York, Tennessee, Georgia, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Missouri, Connecticut, and Wisconsin for a suggested price of $120 a bottle.

Shelbyville, Tennessee-based Uncle Nearest Premium Whiskey is launching several new expressions alongside a packaging refresh. This year, in addition to its current portfolio, Nearest Green Distillery will release Uncle Nearest Rye, Single Barrel Rye, and a new, more widely available Uncle Nearest Single Barrel Whiskey. Among the changes on the new bottles, the label sketch of the original Nearest property has been replaced with the insignia for the Nearest Green Distillery. The seven expressions in the distillery’s 2022 whiskey slate will first be released at the distillery ahead of wider distribution.

Blended Scotch whisky Chivas Regal, part of the Pernod Ricard lineup, is debuting a new look for its flagship blend, Chivas 12. The redesigned bottle has been reshaped and elongated and its crest has been updated as well. The outer box housing the bottle now features burgundy in place of the silver and gold as the principal color scheme. Shipping now to U.S. markets, Chivas 12’s makeover is the first in a series of updates due to take place across the Chivas portfolio over the coming year.

Louisville, Kentucky-based Cream of Kentucky is releasing a new Kentucky straight rye whiskey. Launched in 2018 in part by distiller Jim Rutledge, the brand has previously released five small-batch and one single-barrel expression. The new Cream of Kentucky Straight Rye Whiskey Bottled in Bond is 100% Rymin rye that was estate grown, then distilled, aged, and bottled at Kentucky Artisan Distillery in Crestwood, Kentucky. The expression is limited to 70 barrels. Available in select markets nationwide beginning next month, the Straight Rye is aged six years and bottled at 50% abv for a suggested $70 a 750-ml.
