Beam Suntory’s On the Rocks cocktail brand has added Classic Daiquiri to its line. The new cocktail is bottled at 20% abv and is made from a mix of Cruzan’s dark and light rums, lime, and sugar. On the Rocks’ Classic Daiquiri is now available across the U.S. in 375-, 200-, and 100-ml. bottles with the largest size retailing for around $13. The new release joins On the Rocks’ Cosmopolitan, Mai Tai, Old Fashioned, Margarita, Jalapeño Pineapple Margarita, and Aviation—all made with Beam Suntory spirits—in the brand’s portfolio.
San Francisco’s Anchor Brewing Company has launched a new West Coast IPA to celebrate the brewery’s 125th anniversary. The 7% abv ale is made with Nugget, Citra, Sultana, and Cascade hops, and is available in 6-packs of 12-ounce bottles and on draft throughout the brewery’s distribution footprint.
Sauza is getting into the RTD game with the launch of Sauza Agave Cocktails. The new line of canned drinks comes in four flavors: Lime Crush, Tropical Twist, Strawberry Breeze, and Black Cherry Smash (all 8% abv). They are malt-based and also contain agave nectar. Although Sauza is part of Beam Suntory, the RTDs will be produced by Boston Beer Company as part of a long-term strategic partnership between the two companies. Sauza Agave Cocktails are available now, priced at $18 a variety 12-pack, $10 a single-flavor 6-pack, and $3.50 for a single 24-ounce can.
