Batch C922 is the last release for Heaven Hill’s 2022 Elijah Craig Barrel Proof program. “C” denotes the third batch in an annual A, B, C schedule. The “9” is the release month of September, while 22 represents 2022. ECBP C922 is a staggering 124.8 proof. As with all of the releases in this series, C922 is non-chill-filtered and uncut, bottled directly from the barrel to the bottle.
GSN’s Remarks: Cinnamon nose, with the usual oaky caramel and vanilla with a hint of tobacco leaf. On the palate, more spice comes through along with praline and plenty of wood. The finish is long with the highlights mentioned delicately trailing off. Overall, this is a solid winner. GSN Rating: A
