Asheville, North Carolina-based Hi-Wire Brewing is introducing a new brand, Old North Premium Lager. Launching this month, Old North is billed as a classic American lager clocking in at 5% abv. It’s packaged in 6- and 12-packs of 12-ounce cans, 16-ounce single cans, and on draft. Hi-Wire’s core brews include Hi-Wire Lager, Bed of Nails Brown Ale, Hi-Pitch Mosaic IPA, and Lo-Pitch Juicy IPA.
Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. and Bitburger Brewery have partnered to create Triple Hop’d Lager, set to debut in March. The 5.8% abv beer is made with Cascade, Centennial, and Chinook hops (typical of hoppy American beers) paired with Bitburger’s proprietary hop blend sourced from a local German farm. The new beer will debut in March in 6-packs of 11.2-ounce cans, individual 11.2-ounce cans, and on draft throughout the U.S. for a limited time.
