imagesSidney Frank Importing Company has been named the exclusive importer of Germany’s Monkey 47 Schwarzwald Dry Gin for the U.S., Puerto Rico and the Caribbean, effective immediately. A combination of 47 handpicked ingredients, Monkey 47 was first introduced in Germany by Black Forest Distillers in 2010, and has since expanded to 20 countries. Monkey 47 is 47%-abv and features floral and citrus notes with a hint of spice, according to the company. It retails at $44.99 a 375-ml. bottle.

Under the new multi-year partnership, The Marsalle Co. will exclusively market and distribute the blended Irish whiskey brand across the U.S. market.

indexAtchison, Kansas-based contract spirits producer MGP has added 14 new whiskies to its portfolio. The offerings include six traditional whiskies sourced from across the globe, as well as eight flavored whiskies, including cinnamon, apple, black licorice, honey and butterscotch entries, among others. According to MGP vice president of alcohol sales and marketing David Dykstra, the additions were developed “in response to burgeoning interests and trends” within the whiskey category. The releases follow MGP’s rollout of six new whiskey mash bills last spring, including several rye, malt and wheat whiskies and Bourbons. MGP produces its distilled spirits both at its Atchison headquarters, as well as at a second facility in Lawrenceburg, Indiana.

imagesBacardi has officially launched the new XO expression of its Cognac brand, d’Usse. Available in limited quantities across the U.S., d’Ussé XO “will be seeded via exclusive introductions to trade and cultural influencers,” Bacardi says, retailing at $230 a 750-ml.
