Mezcal brand Del Maguey is launching Vida de Muertos as a new addition to its lineup. The expression was inspired by the tradition of creating special mezcal to celebrate Dia de los Muertos and was made in San Luis del Rio, a village in Oaxaca, Mexico, using mature Espadín agave. It’s twice distilled and at 45% abv. Del Maguey Vida de Muertos is available beginning today at local spirits retailers throughout the U.S. and on Drizly for a suggested $50 a bottle.

Dewar’s is debuting Japanese Smooth, a new blended Scotch whisky finished in Mizunara oak casks, as part of the distiller’s cask-finished series. The 40% abv bottling is retail priced at $25 a 750-ml. and is rolling out nationally. Japanese Smooth follows the previous Dewar’s barrel finished launches of Dewar’s Caribbean Smooth (finished in rum casks), Ilegal Smooth (finished in mezcal barrels) and Portuguese Smooth (finished in Port casks), with Caribbean Smooth launching the series in 2019.

Sipsmith gin, part of the Beam Suntory portfolio, is introducing Strawberry Smash, a limited edition gin distilled using real Wimbledon strawberries from the 2020 harvest from Hugh Lowe Farms in Kent, England. Strawberry Smash is retail priced at $30 a 750-ml. Sipsmith is the official gin of the Wimbledon tennis tournament, running now through July 11.
